Following the tendency of the rest of Denmark, DIKU experiences a boom in number of applicants - we are running at almost full capacity (95%) after the first deadline.

An increasing interest in studying computer science can be registered

Head of Department of Computer Science Martin Zachariasen is pleased to see the renewed interest in studying computer science, which may in his opinion be ascribed to the good career possibilities for bachelors as well as master candidates, and, moreover, to the fact that IT is becoming an integrated part of nearly all activities and fields of the society. This increases the demand for highly skilled IT-workers and at the same time stimulates the interest amongst many potential students of choosing a career path including computer science.
