Martin Rehr new PhD in grid computing

Martin Rehr on Wednesday the 8. December 2010 defended his  phd-dissertation entitled Grid-enabling Non-computer Resources. Martin, who in 2008 wan a prize for Best Grid Mater Thesis, has a.o. carried out research in minimum intrusion of private users who connect their computers or machines to grid.

His research, moreover, comprises the use of PS3 for grid, which has produced performances way beyond what a single machine can deliver.

A unanimous Assessment Committee, comprising Associated Professor Knud Henriksen, DIKU, Copenhagen, chairman, Associate Professor John Markus Bjørndalen, Tromsø University, Norway and Associated Professor Josva Kleist, Aalborg University, Denmark awarded Martin Rehr the PhD degree. DIKU congratulates Martin.
